Congressman John Rose, who represents Tennessee’s 6th district in the U.S. Congress, recently shared a series of posts on his social media account addressing current events and national issues.

On August 29, 2025, Rose acknowledged recent changes in fuel prices by posting, “Lowest gas prices in half a decade are here just in time for Labor Day. Thank you, POTUS.”

The following day, on August 30, he commented on gun violence and societal challenges with the statement: “We don’t have a gun problem. We have a culture problem.”

Later that same day, Rose noted the upcoming return of Congress after recess, stating: “Just three days until Congress is back in action! Time to roll up our sleeves and get to work delivering on the promises we made to the American people.”

John Rose has served as the representative for Tennessee’s 6th district since 2019 after succeeding Diane Black. He was born in Cookeville, Tennessee in 1965 and continues to reside there. Rose graduated from Tennessee Technological University with a Bachelor of Science degree in 1988 and later earned a Juris Doctor from Vanderbilt University in 1993.
