Congressman John Rose, who has been serving Tennessee’s 6th district since 2019, recently took to social media to discuss his views on energy policy. In a series of tweets, he outlined the potential benefits of a legislative proposal he referred to as the “One, Big, Beautiful Bill.”
On July 3, 2025, Rose expressed concern over the impact of high gas prices on working families. He suggested that “The One, Big, Beautiful Bill lowers energy costs by unleashing American production and ending green regulations.”
In another post made on the same day, Rose emphasized the bill’s potential for economic revitalization across various regions. He stated that “From the Gulf Coast to Tennessee, the One, Big, Beautiful Bill revitalizes America’s energy sector and creates good-paying jobs for generations.”
Continuing his advocacy for the bill later that day, Rose criticized renewable energy mandates. He argued that these mandates increase costs and eliminate jobs. Instead, he advocated for an inclusive energy approach through the proposed legislation: “The One, Big, Beautiful Bill embraces all-of-the-above energy that actually works for families.”
John Rose was born in Cookeville, Tennessee in 1965 and still resides there. A graduate of Tennessee Technological University and Vanderbilt University with degrees in agriculture and law respectively, he succeeded Diane Black in Congress.
