Congressman John Rose, who has represented Tennessee’s 6th district since 2019, recently expressed his views on various issues through a series of tweets. Rose, a native of Cookeville, Tennessee, graduated from Tennessee Technological University and holds a JD from Vanderbilt University.
On May 19, 2025, Congressman Rose commended FBI Director Kash for his efforts in restoring public confidence in the FBI. He emphasized the importance of transparency in government to prevent future tragedies. “Transparency in government is essential. It‘s also critical for avoiding tragedies like this in the future.”
The following day, May 20, 2025, he addressed concerns about the Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP), highlighting what he perceives as an increase in illegal aliens receiving benefits under the previous administration. He affirmed House Republicans’ commitment to eliminating waste and fraud to ensure that SNAP serves those truly in need. “House Republicans are committed to cutting this kind of waste, fraud, and abuse so the program can remain in place for those who truly need the help.”
Later on May 20, Congressman Rose welcomed President Biden back to Capitol Hill and thanked him for engaging with House Republicans. He noted their unity in working towards passing significant legislation. “Welcome back to the Capitol… We are united in passing one, big, beautiful bill!”
