Congressman John Rose, who represents Tennessee’s 6th district in the U.S. Congress, has recently posted a series of statements on social media addressing issues ranging from healthcare policy to government accountability and political strategy.

On January 10, 2026, Rose criticized the Affordable Care Act, also known as Obamacare, claiming it negatively impacted competition among health insurers. He stated: “Obamacare CRUSHED competition in U.S. healthcare, driving up YOUR premiums. Here are the HARD facts:

1) Insurers fled exchanges: In 2017, 80 insurers exited while only 11 entered—a net loss of 69 carriers—as majors like UnitedHealthcare, Aetna, and Humana withdrew after hundreds https://t.co/bqiQlX7OnC“.

In another post dated January 12, 2026, Rose addressed concerns about oversight at the Federal Reserve and an ongoing Department of Justice inquiry. He wrote: “An independent Federal Reserve shouldn’t mean independent from accountability.

This DOJ inquiry isn’t about petty disagreements or interest rates. It’s about whether Fed Chair Powell lied to Congress about how $2.5 billion taxpayer dollars were being spent on renovating the”.

Later that same day, Rose commented on potential shifts in congressional power following upcoming elections and their implications for legislative priorities. He stated: “Hear me out: If Democrats take the House in November, impeachments start the day after Election Day.

That’s why every day until then must be about ACTION — not talk — to implement President Trump’s agenda.

Americans gave us a mandate. They can take it away. https://t.co/CTuuj1dlpZ“.

Rose has represented Tennessee’s 6th District since replacing Diane Black in 2019 and is currently serving his constituents from Cookeville, Tennessee. Born in Cookeville in 1965 and now aged 58, he holds degrees from Tennessee Technological University (BS) and Vanderbilt University (JD).
