Congressman John Rose, representing Tennessee’s 6th district since 2019, recently shared insights on a legislative initiative known as “The One, Big, Beautiful Law.” Through a series of tweets, Rose elaborated on the various components and benefits of this law.
On July 11, 2025, Congressman Rose highlighted that “The One, Big, Beautiful Law expands Tennessee’s apprenticeship programs, connecting students with skilled trades that pay great wages without crushing debt.” This initiative aims to provide students with opportunities in skilled trades while avoiding significant financial burdens.
In another tweet from the same day, Rose addressed gun rights in Tennessee by stating that “Tennessee’s Second Amendment rights aren’t negotiable. The One, Big, Beautiful Law protects law-abiding gun owners while targeting actual criminals.” This comment underscores the legislation’s focus on safeguarding constitutional rights while enhancing security measures against criminal activities.
Further emphasizing infrastructure improvements in rural areas, Rose noted that “#OB3 brings high-speed internet to rural Tennessee communities left behind by previous administrations’ empty promises.” This aspect of the law seeks to bridge the digital divide experienced by rural residents.
John Rose was born in Cookeville, Tennessee in 1965 and continues to reside there. He graduated from Tennessee Technological University with a Bachelor of Science degree in 1988 and earned a Juris Doctor from Vanderbilt University in 1993.
