Congressman John Rose, representing Tennessee’s 6th district since 2019, recently took to social media to discuss a legislative initiative he refers to as “The One, Big, Beautiful Law.” This series of tweets outlines various aspects of the law and its intended impacts on natural resources, the opioid crisis, and election security.
On July 11, 2025, Congressman Rose tweeted about the law’s focus on environmental conservation. He stated that “The One, Big, Beautiful Law protects Tennessee’s natural resources through conservation programs that work with farmers and landowners, not against them.”
Later that day, he addressed the ongoing opioid crisis. In his tweet at 2:40 AM UTC, Rose highlighted the law’s approach by saying “The opioid crisis demands real solutions. The One, Big, Beautiful Law secures the border to stop fentanyl while funding treatment and recovery programs.”
In another tweet posted at 2:50 AM UTC on July 11th, Congressman Rose emphasized election security measures included in the legislation. He remarked that “The One, Big, Beautiful Law ensures our elections remain secure with voter ID requirements, updated voter rolls, and transparent ballot counting.”
John Rose was born in Cookeville in 1965 and has been a resident there throughout his life. An alumnus of Tennessee Technological University (BS) and Vanderbilt University (JD), he succeeded Diane Black in Congress.
