Congressman John Rose, who represents Tennessee’s 6th district in the U.S. Congress, recently used his social media platform to comment on gas prices, fraud scandals in various states, and issues related to healthcare and insurance.
On January 7, 2026, Rose posted about gas prices in Tennessee, stating: “Check out these gas prices in Tennessee, just $2.17 a gallon! Not long ago, Tennesseans were paying over $4. I think my youngest son Sam’s reaction pretty much sums up how the whole country feels about these record-low gas prices. Thank you, President Trump!”
Later that day, he addressed allegations of fraud involving multiple states: “As criminal as the MASSIVE Minnesota fraud scandal is, what’s about to come out of California, Illinois, and New York will shock the country to its core. Tim Walz is just the tip of the iceberg for failed Democratic leadership. That’s why 22 blue states have blocked fraud” (January 7, 2026).
The following day on January 8, Rose commented on healthcare policy and insurance company revenues: “This is what the fight over healthcare has REALLY been about: hiding the failures of Obamacare while Americans get sicker and Big Insurance gets richer. 1) Since Obamacare’s rollout in 2014, the seven largest health insurers have TRIPLED their revenues—from $511 billion to $1.5”.
John Rose has served as a U.S. Congressman since 2019 after succeeding Diane Black in representing Tennessee’s 6th District. Born in Cookeville in 1965 and currently residing there at age 58, Rose graduated from Tennessee Technological University with a BS degree before earning his JD from Vanderbilt University.
