Congressman John Rose, who represents Tennessee’s 6th district in the U.S. Congress, has recently posted a series of statements on social media addressing legislative actions related to digital currencies and tax policy.
On July 19, 2025, Rose stated, “The Anti-CBDC Surveillance State Act is a win for freedom — and free market innovation. @FinancialCmte https://t.co/7W612xDPoS”. The following day, he highlighted another legislative effort by posting, “With the GENIUS Act, Congress is providing regulatory certainty for payment stablecoins, protecting consumers, and ensuring the U.S. dollar remains the foundation of the global financial system. @FinancialCmte https://t.co/kFHZFXAbxe” on July 20, 2025.
On July 21, 2025, Rose commented on recent congressional voting patterns regarding tax legislation: “Just a reminder: Every single Democrat just voted against the largest middle-class tax cut in American history. Let that sink in.”
John Rose has served as a member of Congress since 2019 after succeeding Diane Black. He was born in Cookeville, Tennessee in 1965 and continues to reside there. Rose graduated from Tennessee Technological University with a Bachelor of Science degree in 1988 and earned his Juris Doctor from Vanderbilt University in 1993.
