Congressman John Rose, who has been serving Tennessee’s 6th district since 2019, recently shared his views on national security and trade through a series of tweets. Rose, born in Cookeville, Tennessee in 1965, holds degrees from Tennessee Technological University and Vanderbilt University.
On May 7, Congressman Rose commented on the current administration’s efforts to enhance border security. He stated that “.@POTUS is following through on his promise to secure our border – and our nation.” He expressed satisfaction with the measures being taken to ensure that Tennessee does not become a refuge for “violent criminal illegals.”
The following day, May 8, he reiterated his support for these security initiatives by highlighting their impact on local safety. Rose tweeted that “Middle Tennessee is a safer place now that dozens of violent illegal immigrants are off the streets.” He conveyed gratitude towards the President for prioritizing American citizens’ safety during an interview with FOX17.
Later on May 8, Congressman Rose addressed economic matters by praising a new trade agreement with the United Kingdom. In his tweet, he mentioned that “.@POTUS’s historic trade deal with the UK is a HUGE win for Tennessee farmers.” The agreement reportedly opens up significant market opportunities for U.S. exports such as beef and machinery.
John Rose replaced Diane Black in Congress and continues to focus on issues impacting both national security and economic prosperity within his district.
