Congressman John Rose, representing Tennessee’s 6th district since 2019, recently shared insights on the impact of a legislative measure he refers to as “The One, Big, Beautiful Law.” This law is designed to support small businesses and protect inventors while also addressing veteran healthcare. Born in Cookeville, Tennessee in 1965, Rose holds degrees from Tennessee Technological University and Vanderbilt University.
On July 11, 2025, Congressman Rose highlighted the significance of small businesses to Tennessee’s economy. He stated that “Small businesses are the backbone of Tennessee’s economy.” According to Rose, The One, Big, Beautiful Law facilitates their growth by enabling “100% immediate expensing and permanent tax relief.”
In another post on the same day, Rose emphasized patent reform included in the legislation. He mentioned that “The One, Big, Beautiful Law includes patent reform that protects Tennessee inventors while preventing frivolous lawsuits that stifle innovation.”
Additionally, Congressman Rose addressed issues concerning veterans’ benefits. On July 11th he tweeted about the need for improved government commitments to veterans. He asserted that “Our veterans deserve better than broken government promises.” He added that #OB3 ensures full funding for VA healthcare and streamlines benefits processing.
John Rose has been serving in Congress since replacing Diane Black in 2019. He resides in his hometown of Cookeville and has educational credentials from both Tennessee Technological University and Vanderbilt University.
