Congressman John Rose, representing Tennessee’s 6th district since 2019, has recently shared his thoughts on the legislative proposal known as the “One, Big, Beautiful Bill” through a series of tweets. The Congressman emphasizes the bill’s potential impact on middle-class tax cuts and spending reductions.

On July 8, 2025, Rose stated that “The One, Big, Beautiful Bill is the biggest middle-class tax cut in history combined with the largest spending cuts in decades. That’s how you fix Washington.” This highlights his view that the bill represents significant fiscal reform aimed at addressing long-standing issues in government spending.

Later that day, he reiterated his support for American workers and taxpayers by noting that “Every single benefit in the One, Big, Beautiful Bill was earned by American workers and taxpayers. It’s time they get what they deserve instead of foreign countries.” This statement underscores his belief that domestic priorities should take precedence over international aid or expenditures.

Finally, Rose contrasted the efforts of Republicans with those of Democrats by asserting that “The One, Big, Beautiful Bill proves the difference between Republicans and Democrats: we deliver results, they deliver excuses. Tennessee families know the difference.” Through this comment, he draws a clear distinction between party approaches to governance and policy implementation.

John Rose was born in Cookeville, Tennessee in 1965 and continues to reside there. He holds a Bachelor of Science degree from Tennessee Technological University and a Juris Doctor from Vanderbilt University.
