The bill in question, referred to as “The One, Big, Beautiful Bill,” is aimed at strengthening various aspects of American governance and economy.
On July 7, 2025, Congressman Rose tweeted about the importance of American leadership and strength. He stated that “American leadership means American strength. The One, Big, Beautiful Bill rebuilds our military, secures our borders, and projects strength worldwide.”
Later that day, he elaborated on the bill’s objectives concerning national sovereignty. In his words from another tweet posted on July 7, “The One, Big, Beautiful Bill protects American sovereignty: secure borders, domestic energy, fair trade deals, and an end to foreign dependency. America First!”
Continuing into the next day on July 8, Congressman Rose addressed economic concerns related to international trade. He criticized past policies regarding China and emphasized local manufacturing by stating that “Washington spent decades selling out American workers to China. The One, Big, Beautiful Bill brings manufacturing home and puts Tennessee families first.”
John Rose was born in Cookeville, Tennessee in 1965 and has lived there throughout his life. He graduated from Tennessee Technological University with a Bachelor of Science degree in 1988 and later earned a Juris Doctor from Vanderbilt University in 1993.
