Congressman John Rose, who represents Tennessee’s 6th district in the U.S. Congress, recently addressed a range of topics on his social media account, including Mother’s Day wishes and calls for legislative action on election security.

On May 10, Rose posted a message to his wife and constituents: “Happy Mother’s Day to my amazing wife, Chelsea — the best mom to our two boys, Guy and Sam. And to all the incredible mothers across Tennessee, thank you for everything you do. Wishing you a wonderful day!”

Two days later, on May 12, he commented on political developments in Virginia and federal legislative priorities: “Democrats in Virginia are literally trying to rewrite their state constitution to secure power in Congress. Meanwhile, Senate Republicans won’t even bring the SAVE America Act – supported by over 81% of Americans – to the floor for a vote. The cowardice and failure to lead on”

On May 13, Rose continued his advocacy for the SAVE America Act: “The Senate MUST pass the SAVE America Act today. Anyone blocking that effort needs to step aside. Yes, that includes @LeaderJohnThune. Our base entrusted us with these jobs and the profound responsibility to secure our elections. We made a promise to our voters, and it’s time to”

John Rose has served as the representative for Tennessee’s 6th District since 2019 after succeeding Diane Black. Born in Cookeville, Tennessee in 1965, Rose is currently 58 years old and resides in Cookeville. He graduated from Tennessee Technological University with a Bachelor of Science degree in 1988 and earned a Juris Doctor from Vanderbilt University in 1993.
