Former Beech Senior High School standout Preston Drebes played on Saturday, May 24 in hopes of reaching the NCAA Division II Baseball Championship

On Saturday, May 24, former Beech Senior High School standout Preston Drebes’ current collegiate team the Lenoir-Rhyne Bears won 6-1 against the Catawba Indians in the NCAA Division II Baseball Championship.

The game took place at Newman Park at 6 p.m. and was the third matchup against the Catawba Indians in the tournament.

The Lenoir-Rhyne Bears’ next game will take place on Friday, May 30 at 11 a.m. at USA Baseball National Training Complex.
