Congressman John Rose, representing Tennessee’s 6th district since 2019, shared a series of tweets on July 3, 2025, regarding his support for what he refers to as “The One, Big, Beautiful Bill.” This legislation addresses various issues ranging from taxation and energy policy to national security.
In a tweet posted at 17:35 UTC, Rose stated, “No more taxing tips for hardworking Americans. The One, Big, Beautiful Bill puts those who work on tips first!” This suggests that the bill includes provisions aimed at alleviating tax burdens on tipped workers.
Five minutes later at 17:40 UTC, Rose highlighted another aspect of the bill with an emphasis on energy policy. He wrote that “The One, Big, Beautiful Bill prioritizes energy reliability over environmental extremism.” This indicates a focus on ensuring stable energy supplies while critiquing certain environmental policies.
At 17:45 UTC, Rose addressed national security concerns in his final tweet of the series. He mentioned that “The One, Big, Beautiful Bill protects our national security by securing the border and investing in American manufacturing capabilities.” This points to measures within the bill designed to enhance border security and boost domestic manufacturing.
John Rose was born in Cookeville, Tennessee in 1965 and currently resides there. He graduated from Tennessee Technological University in 1988 with a Bachelor of Science degree and earned a Juris Doctor from Vanderbilt University in 1993.
