Congressman John Rose, who represents Tennessee’s 6th district in the U.S. Congress, has recently addressed issues ranging from flight delays and government shutdowns to religious persecution abroad through a series of posts on his social media account.
On November 3, 2025, Rose posted about travel disruptions attributed to staffing shortages at airports. He wrote, “WATCH: 53% of all flight delays are now caused by staffing shortages, creating chaos for travelers like Rose at @Fly_Nashville. All she wanted was to be home with her family this weekend, but her flight—along with 300 others—was grounded because of the Democrat Shutdown. Enough”.
The following day, November 4, he commented on government funding negotiations and their effects on federal workers and programs. In his post, Rose stated, “Setting the record straight on CNN: Democrats have voted 14 TIMES to keep the government closed. 14 times to block pay for our troops. 14 times to block pay for our air traffic controllers and TSA workers. 14 times to block SNAP funding for Americans, including the 70,000+ in”.
Later that same day, Rose drew attention to international concerns regarding religious freedom: “Nigeria is the #1 country in the world persecuting Christians. Yet, the world is silent. I wrote about this in @thehill last year — and the issue is more urgent than ever. America must stand firmly for religious freedom, at home and abroad.”
Rose has served as a member of Congress since replacing Diane Black in 2019 and continues to represent Tennessee’s 6th District. Born in Cookeville in 1965 and currently residing there at age 58, he holds a BS from Tennessee Technological University (1988) and a JD from Vanderbilt University (1993).
