Congressman John Rose, representing Tennessee’s 6th district since 2019, shared several statements on social media concerning the current economic and political climate. The Congressman, who succeeded Diane Black, has been an active voice in national discussions from his position in the U.S. Congress.
On June 7, 2025, Congressman Rose commented on the latest employment figures, noting that “The economy added 139,000 jobs in May — beating expectations for the third straight month.” He attributed this positive trend to having a “businessman back in the Oval Office.”
Two days later, on June 9, 2025, he expressed his views on party differences by stating “Democrats embrace chaos. Republicans stand for law and order. The choice couldn’t be more clear.” This tweet was accompanied by a link presumably elaborating on his stance.
In another post on June 9, Rose advocated for legislative action regarding fiscal policy. He encouraged support for a significant financial measure by tweeting “Today is a great day to pass @POTUS’s $9.4 billion rescissions bill and codify the DOGE cuts. Let’s get it DONE.”
Born in Cookeville, Tennessee in 1965 and residing there currently at age 58, John Rose graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree from Tennessee Technological University in 1988 and earned his Juris Doctor from Vanderbilt University in 1993.
