Congressman John Rose, representing Tennessee’s 6th district since 2019, has been vocal on social media about his stance on energy policy and fiscal matters. Born in Cookeville, Tennessee in 1965, Rose is a graduate of Tennessee Technological University and Vanderbilt University.
On July 3, 2025, Congressman Rose tweeted about energy independence. He stated that it “starts with ending the Green New Deal disaster,” and emphasized that “The One, Big, Beautiful Bill puts American energy production back on track.”
Later that day, he commented on fiscal policies by claiming that “Every Democrat in Congress has now voted for the largest tax increase in American history.” The tweet reflects his criticism of recent legislative actions taken by Democratic members of Congress.
In another post made shortly after, Congressman Rose highlighted infrastructure improvements under the same bill mentioned earlier. He noted that “Airports across the country will see needed improvements to their operations under the One, Big, Beautiful Bill,” specifically mentioning Nashville International Airport (BNA) as one of the beneficiaries.
John Rose continues to reside in Cookeville and remains active in political discourse regarding energy policy and taxation issues affecting his constituents.
