Congressman John Rose, representing Tennessee’s 6th district, recently shared a series of tweets on June 17, 2025, regarding the legislative proposal known as the “One, Big, Beautiful Bill.” The congressman highlighted the significance and impact of this bill through his social media posts.
In his first tweet of the day, Rose declared that “The One, Big, Beautiful Bill makes one thing clear: the days of America-last policies are over.” This statement suggests a shift in policy focus towards prioritizing American interests.
Later that day at noon, he continued to express his views by stating that “Democrats hate it. Lobbyists fear it. Americans LOVE it. The One, Big, Beautiful Bill is proof that @POTUS keeps his promises.” This tweet underscores his belief in the bill’s alignment with presidential commitments and its reception among different groups.
By early afternoon on June 17th, Congressman Rose emphasized fiscal implications for taxpayers if certain measures were not extended. He warned that “If we don’t extend @POTUS’ successful tax cuts, 94% of taxpayers in my district would see their guaranteed deduction cut in half. The Senate needs to pass the One, Big, Beautiful Bill now!” This highlights potential financial consequences for constituents should legislative action be delayed.
John Rose has been serving in Congress since 2019 after succeeding Diane Black. Born in Cookeville, Tennessee in 1965 and currently residing there at age 58, he holds degrees from Tennessee Technological University and Vanderbilt University.
