Congressman John Rose, who represents Tennessee’s 6th district in the U.S. Congress, recently shared his thoughts on the “One, Big, Beautiful Bill” through a series of tweets. Serving since 2019 and born in Cookeville, Tennessee, Rose has been vocal about economic policies affecting his constituents.
On July 2, 2025, Rose tweeted about the economic benefits of the proposed bill. He described it as an “economic growth engine,” emphasizing its potential to put “more money in your pocket,” create jobs in Tennessee, and provide more opportunities for everyone. “The One, Big, Beautiful Bill isn’t just tax cuts—it’s an economic growth engine. More money in your pocket. More jobs in Tennessee. More opportunity for everyone.”
Later that day, he highlighted another significant aspect of the bill: providing certainty for Americans regarding their tax future. This assurance is particularly beneficial for small businesses looking to plan their financial strategies effectively. “The biggest feature of the One, Big, Beautiful Bill is that it provides certainty to Americans, particularly small businesses, about what their tax future is going to be.”
In another tweet posted shortly after the previous one on July 2nd, Rose expressed concern over government spending impacting future generations. He stressed that this legislation aims to reduce government expenditure by over $1.6 trillion while delivering immediate tax relief.“Congress must stop mortgaging our children’s future with reckless spending. The One, Big, Beautiful Bill cuts more than $1.6 trillion in government spending and delivers tax relief today.”
John Rose graduated from Tennessee Technological University and later earned a JD from Vanderbilt University.
