Congressman John Rose, who has represented Tennessee’s 6th District since 2019, recently shared his thoughts on a significant legislative development via social media. Rose, a native of Cookeville, Tennessee, with academic credentials from Tennessee Technological University and Vanderbilt University, took to Twitter to express his support for a newly passed bill.
On July 2, 2025, Congressman Rose tweeted about the progress made with the passage of the bill. He stated: “Passing this bill is a very positive step in the right direction.”
Later that day, he elaborated on the benefits of what he termed “The One, Big, Beautiful Bill,” highlighting its impact on agriculture. He tweeted at 17:00 UTC: “The One, Big, Beautiful Bill supports our farmers and producers and ensure they’re able to produce the food and fiber we count on.”
In another tweet at 17:30 UTC, Congressman Rose addressed issues within the Medicaid system. He asserted that the bill aims to reform Medicaid by introducing work requirements for certain beneficiaries. His tweet read: “Our Medicaid system is broken. The One, Big, Beautiful Bill fixes it by adding common-sense work requirements for able-bodied adults. This protects benefits for those who truly need them.”
