Wednesday, April 13th Sheriff Russell traveled with other Sheriffs of the Tennessee Sheriff's Association to the state capitol for "Sheriff's Day on the Hill". The Sheriffs were warmly received by the House and Senate members. Discussions ranged from pending legislation to criminal justice issues. Our own District 40 Representative Terry Lynn Weaver took time out of her busy day to meet with Sheriff Russell. On Thursday April 14th, Governor Lee met with the Tennessee Sheriffs, listening to their concerns and discussing ways the state can assist the Sheriffs.
