Trousdale County Sheriff's Office Ray Russell, participated in visiting the Madison County Jail

Trousdale County Sheriff, Ray Russell, participated in visiting the Madison County Jail as a proactive way to assist in finding the best architectural firm for the potential new jail project. The Sheriff understands this is a very important project for the public safety of Trousdale County Citizens. He also wants to help ensure that fiscal responsibility is of the highest importance. By touring different jails across this state, Sheriff Russell will be able to assist in determining which solutions best fit Trousdale County for the future. Safety, security, and reducing recidivism are paramount to the Sheriff’s mission. Facility design plays a large role in making the mission possible. The Sheriff along with other Committee Members which include County Commissioners, Judges, private citizens, and other public officials will visit multiple facilities during the process of reviewing five architectural firms.
