Rhodes has landed on Money’s Best Colleges in America 2022. Editors of the magazine spent months evaluating data on quality, affordability, and student outcomes of more than 600 four-year colleges across the country. Rhodes also is among the magazine’s top 50 Best Colleges in the South.
To create the lists of high-value colleges, editors considered questions such as: What is the school’s graduation rate? What is the student-to-faculty ratio? How much does the school award in grants and scholarships and how much do students really have to pay in tuition? What is the estimated average student debt upon graduation? What are graduates’ earnings 10 years after college entry? Is there a return on investment?
The Rhodes experience combines rigorous academics, individualized mentoring by teacher-scholars, and opportunities through service, research, and work in Memphis and far beyond, which also gives Rhodes students an advantage in applying to graduate and professional programs. Alumni consistently report long-term benefits, lifelong employability, and career advancement because of their education.
“Rhodes students have so many opportunities to develop experience and professional skills through numerous internship opportunities,” says Sandi George Tracy, director of Career Services. “Academic internships, paid internships, international internships, campus internships, and more provide students with meaningful ways to connect their classroom work with real-world experiences.”
