Sumner County Great News in Regards to SR386

TDOT is committing to building three lanes on each side with a total of six lanes and removing the traffic light on SR386 at SR174/Long Hollow Pike. This section will be limited access up to the SR109 Gallatin bypass.

This $10 million dollar check presentation to TDOT Commissioner Butch Eley is the county’s match for this much needed project.

Many thanks goes out to Jimmy Johnston with Forward Sumner, State Senator Ferrell Haile, State Representatives, William Lamberth, and Johnny Garrett. Special thanks to Governor Bill Lee for funding this project in his current budget.  I would also like to thank our partner on this project, Gallatin Mayor Paige Brown, and her staff for working on these vital transportation improvements.

SR386 as a limited access corridor is a key component to our County’s economic viability.  This improvement will help alleviate congestion and improve safety. I am excited that this project will also help improve our commute to all parts of the county.  We are hopeful that TDOT will start the engineering process, right of way, and construction very soon.
