Phoenix women sit in first place after day one of the Music City Invitational hosted at Twelve Stones Golf Club.
The Phoenix come into the clubhouse after a darkness shortened day at 46-over-par through 31 holes. Pikeville is the next closest team 14-strokes down followed by SCAD-Atlanta and Tennessee Southern tied for third.
Cumberland posted a 321 in the first round and trailed Tennessee Southern by four strokes, but have since made up ground and built a big lead into the final 23 holes tomorrow.
Anna Krieger sits tied for second place individually. Krieger shot an 80 in round one, but has picked her game in round two and is even-par through 13 with four birdies. She is eight-over and trails the leader Kailey Crawford from Reinhardt by two shots.
Jasmine Sachdev is tied for sixth place individually. Sachdev posted 10 bogeys on her way to an 82 in round one. She is just two over through round two and 12-over through the tournament.
Nathalie Nutu and Emma Hermansson are both tied for eighth place at 13-over. Nutu shot an 83 in the first round, but has fired four birdies in the second round and is two-over through 13. Hermansson shot a four-over 76 in the first round and was playing steady golf with six bogeys, two birdies, and 10 pars. She picked up two triples the second round to fall in the standings to eighth.
Ksenia Yakovleva is playing as the No. 5 and is tied for 48th after shooting a 91 in round one. She is 13-over so far in round two.
Playing as individuals are Ida Furuheim and Caitlyn Bilham. Furuheim is just outside of the top 10 in 12th place. She shot an 81 in the first 18 holes and is six-over on round two. Bilham is tied for 41st after shooting an 88 in the first round and is 11-over in the second.
The Phoenix will pick up where they left off in round two tomorrow and will continue into the final round upon completion.
