Everyone meet Lainey, our sweet Pirate girl!
Lainey had been chipped and fully vaccinated at our shelter but a few days after, started to develop a nasty eye infection - we believe from a spider bite. Despite our best efforts to treat it locally, we had to transport her to our vet for more extensive treatment.
Lainey ultimately had to have her eye removed due to the severe infection that had set in that was beyond standard treatment. Our vet took great care of her and she is in the best spirits!
She’s back on the adoption floor fully serviced (chipped, vaccinated age appropriately, spayed) but will not be ready to leave the shelter for 2 weeks until we get her sutures removed from the vet!
