Census Bureau: 76.4% of people in Sumner County were old enough to vote in 2021

Of the 193,036 citizens living in Sumner County in 2021, 76.4% were old enough to vote, equating to 147,437 individuals, according to U.S. Census Bureau data obtained on Oct. 26.

Further breakdown reveals that of the voting-eligible population, 71,351 were male, constituting 48.4%, and 76,086 were female, making up 51.6%.

The percentage of citizens old enough to vote in Sumner County during 2021 was lower than the state average, which stands at 77.6%.
