On December 4, 2024, Congressman Rose tweeted his support for Pete Hegseth as the Secretary of Defense. He stated on Twitter, "As I said on @997wtn's @MattMurphyShow: I fully support @PeteHegseth. He will make a tremendous Secretary of Defense. We must support and rally around his nomination."
Later that day, he criticized recent trends within the Department of Defense. In a tweet posted at 10:30 PM UTC, he remarked, "We’ve seen the primary mission of the Dept. of Defense take a backseat to woke ideology and DEI in recent years. @PeteHegseth will get our eye back on the ball."
In another tweet shared on December 5, 2024, Congressman Rose discussed constitutional powers concerning state rights. He asserted via Twitter, "The Constitution is clear: powers not delegated by the Constitution are reserved to the States or to the people. Nowhere is there a right to permanently alter the bodies of children."
